Version Control with Git and GitHub

Led By: Andrew Brennwald

Thursday January 26th

Meet from 6-8 pm

Version control is an integral part of any technical (and sometimes non-technical) project’s workflow, and our projects at Hack Oregon are no exception. Git is a massively popular version control tool that helps developers and designers alike keep the progress of their projects in check. GitHub is an online tool that augments the Git workflow with powerful team collaboration features.

In this session, you’ll learn about various Git features such as repositories, commits, branches, merging, and more. You’ll also learn how to use GitHub for repository sharing, forking, pull requests, issue management, and some of its social features.

This workshop is: Open to Everyone
